Kailan Wing is married to a wonderful man named Joshua. They have 6 children; one boy and the rest are girls! She sings, plays the uke, writes (obviously), and reads whatever book she can get her hands on that C.S. Lewis wrote. Oh, that is all done when she's not chasing little children around and cooking barefoot in the kitchen. God and dark chocolate are her comforts in life. Sprinkle some encouraging companions in there, makes it perfect.
She likes to write most about her experiences with grieving and hardships. (sometimes she likes to throw some ramblings in there.) Her dad died when she was 16. She got married one year out of high school, and started having babies after that. Her second baby, their first daughter, died of SIDS one week before Christmas of '06. She also draws from her experiences from losing four cousins to suicide, as well as very close friends/family that have dealt with their own grieving journeys. She has found it most therapeutic to write about her trials, (as well as triumphs... I guess there's a few in there.) as real and raw as she can. And in consequence, people still love her. Imagine that!
So she keeps writing and writing, hoping to comfort those that are grieving and/or dealing with depression and fear. Maybe she'll write a book some day!
As a christian woman, she recognizes that it's a hard cruel world out there, but that because of our sufferings we can come together and be there for each other, revealing pieces of heaven upon the world.
